The Court found that the Colac - , Pareora collision on August 29th was > due to Captain Joliffe, master of the Colac, steering the wrong course, and Captain Downia, master of the Pareora, keeping on the starboard side when a collision was imminent. The Treasurer's Budget statement shows that the revenue for the current ymr had been £1,004,000, which is .£71,500 above the estimate, and the expenditure wad £911,377.
