A GENEROUS GIFT.
WELLINGTON, June 4. MrR. D. D. McLean, of Mararekakaho, Hawke's Bay, has given the Department of Agriculture the pick of the best Shorthorn heifers on his estate (ten altogether). Delivery has been given to the Secretary for Agriculture, and the stock will be distributed amongst the State farms.
