TRANSVAAL.
Received August 26, 10.22 p.m. PRETORIA, August 26. In the course of a patriotic speech at Standerton, General Botha, Premier, appealed for brotherhood and concord between the white races. He denied that any .bargain had been made in connection with the Transvaal loan, without which, as he told the Imperial Government, it was impossible to develop the country.
