CASTLEPOINT COUNTY COUNCIL.

The ordinary meeting of the Oastlepoint County Counoil was held on Wednesday last. Present:— Ooncil'orß Speedy (obairman), Langdon, Bennett, Ryder, Innes and Foroman. A letter was received from Mr C. A. Cameron, Bta*iing that he would contribute £ls towards a culvert iu Makirikiri Road. • The Clerk was instructed to get jarrah timber for the bridge at. FJag Creek, and reply to Mr Langdon explaining the cause of the delay; also, to telegraph and asoprtain the amount voted for the Uriti-Langdale Road, and if funds are available to arrange for completing the metalling of the remaining 10 chains of road. If; was resolved that the metalling on the Tlnui-Manawa Road be commenced on December 10th if carts and men are available. The report of the road overseer was read and considered. It was rosoived—(l) That Mr Ryder's offer oJ £4 towards the ereotion of a bridge and outting a new channel in the Taipo Creek be accepted; (2) that the Pakowai Road be repaired, and made passable for wool drays; (3; that the Paokspur Road be repaired at the same tirue. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £433 Is 6d. Accounts amounting to £134 4s sil were passed for payment.
