CHARGE AGAINST SIGNOR
CARUSO,
AN IMMENSE SENSATION,
Received November 23, 7.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Nov. 23. The hearing of the charge against Signor Carous has created an immense sensation. The arresting detective deposed that be saw Caruso follow and annoy two young girls and three women, including a Degrees, at the Zoological Gardens. He also pinched a woman named Mrs Graham, whereupon she turned swiftly if and struck him, orying: "You brute 1" She then told the detective to arrest Caruso for insulting her. The dectetive stated that he made every effort to find her since she disappeared, bat he had failed to do so. Caruso denied the charge. Two policemen were necessary to take Caruso, who was half mad with exoitement and anger, to the cells. The woman gave tt false address, and has since disappeared. The detective responsible for Caruso's arrest alleges that there are a number of similar offences against him.;
