PROPOSED NATIONAL MEMORIAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 10. The Exeuutive of the Seddou Memorial Committee waited on the Premier to-night. The Executive expressed the opinion that it would be wise to let the memorial take the shape of scholarships on the principlo that was adopted by the late Mr Cecil Rhodes, or for the establishment of a Technical University. It waa thought that there- would be no difficulty in raising £25,000. The Premier promised to confer with his colleagues and let the deputation know their views.
