SIR JOSEPH WARD.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 1. Sir Joseph Ward returned to Wellington, this evening, and [met with a very cordial reoeption at the station. All along the line from New Plymouth he had been heartily welcomed, receiving addresses of weloome at several places. There was a large crowd on the ttalway Station, at Wellington, to meet him, and in response to calls for a speech he gave a short address, expressing his pleasure at being back in Now Zealand, and the I .'ratification at having been so warmly received. $ Sir Joseph attends a reoeption given by ' the citizens, tomorrow evening, at the Town Hall, in his honour.
