BOARD OF MANAGERS. The monthly meeting of the Board of Managers of the Young Men's Christian Assooiation was held in the Y.M.O.A. last evening, Mr P. L. Boilings occupying the ohair. Several matters dealing with the future welfare of the Assooiation were discussed. It was decided to introduce the game of ping-pong into the Assooiation rooms. It was intimated that a muvement was on foot to secure a visit from some of the Clubs oonnected with the Wellington Y.M.C.A., probably representatives from the Bou2ey, OymnasiuD and Debating Clubs. It was also stated that a proposal to hold a monster demonstration, showing limelight views of the work the Association is engaged in, was alsu under consideration, and that Mr H. N. Holmes, the Secretary of the Wellington branch, would give a lecture on the Assooiation and the work undertaken by it. A notice of motion was given by Mr Donald, as follows:—'"That the subscriptions be reduced to 10s per annum for members over 21 years, and -5s per annum for under that age." Several new members were elected, and accounts due were passed for payment. s It was decided to hold a meeting during the present week to discuss the question of procuring a piano. The usual meeting of the Literary and Debating Society will be held on Wednesday evening, when Mr W. E. Chamberlain will contribute a paper on "Emigration." An interesting discussion may be looked forward to. Non members are invited to be present.
