A REBEL CHIEF CAPTURED. NATIVE KRAAL SHELLED. HEADMEN INNOCENTLY INQUIRE WHY? Received March 7, 1 a.m. CAPETOWN, March 6. Five squadrons of mounted infantry, under Colonel Leuchnr, surrounded tbe chief Gobiz«nbe9, in his kraal, and captured him. They shelled the kraal after the inhabitants had evacuated it. Forty headmen then tendered their submission. When they asked the reason why the kraal had been shelled, they were informed that thp guns were the voice of tho supreme chief.
