A SMART FIRE BRIGADE.

At the recent meeting- of the Borough Council three letters were received by them from various residents in appreciation of services rendered by the Fire Brigade in recent outbreaks of fire in the district. All letters congratulated the Brigade on their quick turnout and also expressed their appreciation of the prompt and efficient -way in "which they attacked the fires. One letter stated that from the time of notifying- the Brigade of the outbreak to the time they arrived on the scene -was very quick work and reflects great credit on the smart and efficient training- of the Brigade. The Council decided that copies of the letters be sent to the Brigade.
