LODGE MEETING—U.A.O.D).

The fortnightly meeting of the Mungaroa Lodge of Druids was held in the Druids' Hall on Tuesday, 14th April. Arch Druid Bro. Dalton presided over a large attendance of members. The sympathy of the Lodge was extended to the relatives of Bro. H. R. Pearson, whose death after a long illness was keenly felt by the Brothers, especially those who knew Bro. Pearson while he resided in "Upper Hutt. District President Bro. Seagar, two Brothers of Poneke Lodge, one Brother of Star of New Zealand Lodge, and twenty-five Brothers and Sisters of Totara Lodge, Carterton, were welcomed with Druidic Honours. With the many Officers and Past Officers present in regalia the Lodge Room was a colourful and truly Druidic spectacle, especially during the Initiation Ceremony which was performed by each Lodge during the evening in a friendly competition. This was won by the visiting Lodge Officers, who gave a very impressive rendering of the ceremony. Sick pay amounting to £1 ss. was passed for payment. After the meeting visitors and members enjoyed supper, and then indoor bowls, quoits, and darts provided the finale to a most pleasant evening.
