"SOCCER FLAG 500 EVENING."

A very successful "Flag 1 500" evening - was held at Telford's Private Hotel on Monday night, in aid of the Upper Hutt United F.C. The success of the evening was due in no small measure to the capable manner in which Mr. Gillbanks officiated in arranging the games. A hearty vote of thanks was duly accorded to him, as well as to Mr. Telford for his help. All the kind friends who provided the splendid supper that was served were also heartily thanked. Prizes were donated by Mr. K. Geange, Mr. Mudgway, Upper Hutt, and Evans and Co., Wellington. The winning table was held by Mrs. Peggie and Mr. Baillie and. Mr. Leslie and Mr. Climie. Those successful in getting their names enrolled on the Boobies List were Mr. Morgan, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Donnell and Mr. Jillet, and the members of the Upper Hutt United take this opportunity of thanking Mrs. Hamilton, Silverstream, for sponsoring the above most successful function.
