Presbyterian Sunday School Picnic.

the annual picnic under the auspices of the Lawrence Presbyterian Sunday School was held at Alt. Stuart on Wed: ncsday. The weather some days previous was stormy and this, with the douotful appearance of the climatic conditions on Wednesday morning no doubt hud the effect of restricting the ui.endance at this usually popular outing. In previous years the attendance has run from IUO to out), but on in.3 occasion the tickets sold for the train only amounted to about 200. Uowever, notwithstanding the Unfavourable conditions those iwho were piesent thoroughly enjoyed themselves. An interesting programme of sports and gatues for the children was carried through, Messrs J. AleCrae and P. Alartiu being the principal ligures in this part of the day's proceedings, while Air J. Stenhous.', superintendent of the Sunday School, exercised a general supervision over the children, Uie teachers also assisting in this work, The arrangements for the supply of the necessary ingredients for tue brewing of the cup that cheers, were very satisfactorily! carried o|ut, and the numerous little parties found i'May thing possible done for their comfort and enjoyment.
