DISCREDITED BY THE AUTHORITIES.
SYDNEY, July 10. A deserter from the warship Drake has been recaptured and sentenced to a term of detention and to be handed over to the naval authorities. lie made a statement that he and another man were concerned in the murder of Leon Boron at Clapham Common on January 1, 1911, a nd that Stinie Morrison, who is undeivoing sentence for the crime, is not guilty. The authorities attach but little importanoo to tha confession, rt nd considei' that-ho is seekiiii; cheap notoriety. The man was serving in the Horn* Fleet at tho time of the tragedy.
