BRUCE COUNTY DECLINE TO CONFER. Mr J. J. Woods, county clerk, received the following letter on Wedmesday from the clerk Bruce County :—: — Milton, 2nd December, 1906. Mr J. J. Woods, County Clerk, LaAvrence. Dear Sir, — The Chairman directs me to ackai6w,edge the receipt of your letter of 28th November, asking this council to appoint a deputation to" meet a deputation from your council to consider what steps should be tafcen to finish the Waitahuna-Greenfiekl bridge, and in reply I have to inform you that your letter was considered by the council at a meeting held yesterday, when the following resolution was agreed to :—": — " That according to the report »f the Short Commission the Bruce County Council is not liable for any of the costs in the erection of the bridge, and respectfully declines to meet to discuss - the matter."
