At Thursday's meeting of the above Board the folloAvinpr business of local interest Avas transacted :—: — Application by John Donoghuc for an occupatioa lca^e under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1594," over eight acres of unsiuveyed land adjoining sections 88 and 89, block I, Tuapeka East district. The Warden fonvarded a report. — Leave granted subject to survey ; r,ent Gd per acre. Johu Donoghue applied to purchase sections SS and 89, block I, Tuapeka East district. — Granted ; capital value £2 per acre. » Timothy Crowley applied to purchase one acre, part of section 89, block I, Tuapeka East district. — Declined. Robert Cotton wrote nominating John Butler as a member of the Waipori Commonage Committee in place of Charles Kerr, Avho has left the district. — Received. J. E. Kccnan, on behalf of the Settlement League, Tuapeka Mouth, applied to purchase an area of about 10 acres, being the southern part of the mining reserve in block I, Waitahuna West district, opposite sections 17, 18, and 19. — Referred to Ranger for report. Application from the Waitahuna Presbyterian Church for permission to place upon_ section 16a, Greenfield Estate, a small temporary building to be used as a church. — Temporary permission granted. The Waipori Commonage Committee applied for a license over die commonage in the names of W. E. S. Knight, James Bolton, EdAvard Tohill, AndreAv Searle, H. Blackmore, and John Fraser. — License to issue in the names mentioned.
