SHOOTING.
The shooting mat oh, Citizens v. Taapeka Mounted Bifles, was fired on Wednesday afternoon on the Wetherstones range, and resulted in a win for the former by 28 points. Just before shooting started the light beoame very bad and rain fell, continuing until the match was half over, when the conditions improved considerably. Shooting, under the oiroumstances, was difficult, and, with one or two exceptions, the aoores were poor. Those firing towards the end fit the matoh had a decided advantage. The conditions were 10 men aside, 10 shots and a sighter at 500 yds. Scores : —

The Bruce Bifles have notified the Shooting Committee of the Tuapeka Mounted Bifles that they .will bs pleased to meet a team of the latter (12 men aside) at Milton on Tuesday, 3rd Jane. ,
