During the week ended Monday, 13' b January, 40 dredges reported a total yield of 1,0360z 4dwt 17gr, or an average of over 25i z per dredge. Th» gold yield in New South Wales for last year was 789,5620z, a d> crrase of 17,845 ?z as compared with the previous year. , The total product of thn State to tbe end of last year is 65,135, 1740z, valued at over £260,000,000.

An Auckland telegram says :—": — " During December the Waitekauri Gold Mining Co. treated, in 19 working days, 1,613 tons for bullion valued at £3,000. Tbe output for 1901 shows a total of £45,549. During December the Talijman Consolidated Gold Mining Co. crushed 1,871 tops for bullion valued at £1,980. The total for 1901 was £16764, crushing operations being only partial."
