LAWRENCE CRICKET CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the above Club was held in the Town Hail, Lawrence, on Wednesday night, when there was a meagre attendance of members. Mr A. M. Eyes (president) occupied the chair.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The balance-sheet .showed that there was a sum of 12s 9d in hand, but there were outstanding liabilities to the amount of £3 odd. The report congratulated the Club's team on again winning the S.O.G.A Challenge Shield (the second time in succession). The Club had gone through the season without a reverse, and had been worthily represented in the North v. South match by Canon Richards and Messrs Mills, Hilton, and Clarke. The batting average was easily won by Mr A. Mills, with an average of 54 runs per innings, Canon Richards being second with 20 runs. In bowling, Mr\4 Blair's average was 1.5 (6 for 9), Mr G. Clarke second with 4.25 (16 for 68), and Mr Hilton third with 5.9 (13 for 77).— The report and balance-sheet were adopted.

The following officers were elected : — I President, Mr A. M. Eyes (re-elected) ; vice-presidents — Messrs E. M. Wakefield, A. B. Haggitt, E. Herbert, J. B. M'Kinlay, and F. Vivian (sen.) ; secretary and treasurer, Mr G. Clarke ; Committee of Management — Cauon Richards and Meßsrs Blair, Lockhart, Hilton, Ros- • coe, and president, and secretary ; captain, Canon Richards ; deputy-captain, < Mr D. LockharC -, delegate to 5.0.0.A., Mr G. Clarke. ' The subscription fee was fixed at 5s for seniors and 2s 6d for juniors.

Wednesday, 16th October, was decided on as the opening day with a match between president and vice-presi-dents' teams.

After various matters of minor importance had been discussed, votes of thanks to returning officers and the chair terminated the meeting.
