MINING.
Since the discovery of gold in the Inangahua (West Coast) district, tha total amount obtained up to last year was 1,089, 8130z, valued at £4,233,666. Of this 486,2440z were obtained fiom quartz lodes, valued at £1,900,816, and the balance was alluvial gold.
