TUAPEKA HOSPITAL BOARD.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above Board was held in the County buildings last evening. Present. : Messrs Livingston (chairman), iDglis, Oudaille, and Simpson. MINUTES. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. chairman's report. The Chairman* annual repot t for the 12 months ended 31st December was road. 1 showed that the revenue for the year had been £1.145 Us Bd, and the expenditure (exclusive of accounts to be passed at the present meeting) £946 11s 83, leaving acredit balance of £199. The average daily nunmber of patients daring the year had been S4. During tbo year the hospital had been connected .by telephone, which had proved a great convenience, especially to people residing in remote dis-_ tricts. The quadrangle at the back of the hospital bad been asphalted, and a concrete gu l ter construct ed round the back walls of the building. The planking on the pathways at. the back of the hospital had also been attended tc. During the Diamond Jubilee celebrations' a number of philanthropic persons started a collection for the purpose of establishing the nabolas of a fund for providing warm underclothing and other requisites for the poor and destitute patients, and a sum of £61 14s'bad been raised.
