A large section of the House are dissatisfied with the proposal to hold Monday sittings.

Tariff Changes.

Among the tariff changes the Treasurer proposes to-night are reductions in the tea duty to 3d per lb ; kerosene, 6d per gallon; linseed oil, Is 6d per gallon; fencing wire (plain barbed), Is per cwt ; rice and rice flour, 6d per cwt ; and the remission of duty on traction engines. Mr J. A. Millar proposes to raise the duty on colonial beer to 6d per gallon.
