APPLE FBITTEB3.
Peel and core some rather large, sound apples. Cat in round thick Blioeß. Dip in thin batter, made from an egg, two tablespoonfuls of flour and milk enough to thin, well beaten. Drop in hot fat, which should be very hct indeod, and 000k until brown. Sift over them powdered sugar and serve. A nice breakfast dish. FRENCH TOAST. Bread which has become stale may be made very palatable by dipping in beaten egg and frying in-a little butter until crisp on both eidee.
