Stage manager (to proprietor of theatre) : " Oar scene-shifter says he wants a vacation. He says he haen't been away for five years." Proprietor : " Tell him he cannot have one. He gets change of scenery enough to suit anyone." Rich banker (to future son-in-law) : " I hope you appreciate, air, that in marrying my daughter you are marrying a yonng girl full of heart and generosity." Poor yonng man: "Yes, indeed, sir; and I hope she gets those qualities from net latbtr."
