DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET.
Wheat.— Deliveries from the country during the week have been small, but as millers have large stocks on hand there has not been much business to report, inquiries having been confined to choice velvet and milling qualities principally. Quotations are: For prime milling velvet and Tuscan, 3s to 3s 2d ; medium do, 2s 9d to 2s lid ; rod straw, 2s 9d to 2s lid ; inferior and damp, Is 6d to 2s 3d per bushel. Oats. — A fair business has been transacted during the week, but principally with local millers. There are considerable quantities held by shippers waiting suitable freights, and the want of these is seriously affecting this market at the present time. Arrivals are, however, small, and holders are in no hurry to force sales. Prime milling and stout bright feed are worth Is B§d to Is 9d } good bright, Is 7id to Is 8d ; medium and discolored, Is 6d to Is 7d ; Danish, Is 7d to Is 7id per bushel. Barley. — Some lines have been taken up by a Melbourne buyer, but at low prices. Parcels of prime malting are now held in the expectation of better prices. Quotations are, nomina'ly, very prime malting, 3a ; good ditto, 2s 4d to 2s 8d j- milling, 2s to 2s 3d ; feed, Is 9d to 2s per bushel.
