AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT. (To the Editor.) Sib,— l beg to return my most sincere thanks to Dr Withers (Surgeon of the Tuapeka Goldfields Hospital) for the very succes* ful surgical operations he recently performed upon me, and also for the subsequent skilful treatment received at bis hands ; also, to Mr D. C. Corrision (chief wardsman of the above institution) are due my very best thanks for his kindness towards me, and his unremitting attention to my requirements whilst a patient in the Hospital. — 1 am &c, Jambs Kbfpbl.
