SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.

TUAPEKA WEST. There was a small turn-out of householders at the annual meeting. Messrs Smith, M'Kay, Dalziel, Osborne, Hall, Bullin, and Taylor were appointed members of the new Committee. Mr J. Smith presided on the occasion. if : . , MOUNT STUART. The" following gentlemen have been elected members of the Mt Stuart School Committee— viz, Messrs E. Jaokson, W. Smulie, T; Redpath, W. Crosier, J. R.oberts,on, G> Bartlett, and Geo. Kerr. TUAPEKA MOUTH. The annual meeting for the election of a School Committee was held in the schoolhouse, Tuapeka. Mouth, on Monday,

22nd instant. The balance sheet, submitted by the outgoing*. Committee, showed the income for the past year, including a balance of £9 8a 5d from the previous year, to have been £53 33s 5d ; expenditure, £53 3s 10£ d, leaving a balance in hand of 9s 6d£. The balance sheet and report having been adopted, the householders proceeded to the election of a Committee. Eight gentlemen were nominated, and after a poll had been taken, the following were declared duly elected — viz., Messrs Brown, Mailler, Taylor, IVl 'Roberts, Bruce, Porter, and Hames.
