On Friday next our local Cridket Club sends forth an eleven to Duhedin to play the return match with the Albion Club on the Oval, and the result of this meeting is looked forward with considerable interest by' those supporters and admirers of the game both in our town and district. The difficulty which is invariably .experienced in getting together the strongest eleven to play away from Home will, in this instance^result in one or two .of our moStpromisitig players being left out of the team. JBEowever, with their able and enthusiastic skipper (Downea) at the helm, supported by Johnston, Moore, and Maddock, we hope and expect to find* our representatives^keep up the reputation which* our 'CTub nas acquired, and mairi : tain the laurels won from their opponents when they met on Boxing Day on the Lawrence ground. There is no doubt the Albion Club will bring forward its strongest eleven in order to try and wipe out the defeat they suffered when-playing hejre. With the knowledge of this fact bejfore them our players should neglect no opportunity of practising and fitting themselves for the coming r contest.
