The railway traffic returns for the four weeks ending 12th January last for the Dunedin section shows the totr.l revenue to be £9860 j for the corresponding four weeks of laßt jear the revenue wjis £7233. The total revenue for the financial year was £48,900" and the expenditure £38,075. The total re" Tenue for thelnvercargill section was £21,793' and the expenditure £16,884. Hokitika, February 28. Sir George Grey and Messrs Fisher, Wilson> Macandrew, Gisborne, Brown, and Mitchell, forcing the Ministerial party, left by the Hinemoa to-day for Martin's Bay and the Bluft. The publicmeeHiHgast evening at the theatre to hear Sir George^Srey's address was crowded aud most enthusiastic. Sir George Grey made a favorable impression on the public, and on leaving the wharf he was loudly cheered by a large crowd.
