Professor John Graham Kerr (National Conservative) .. 20.507 Mrs Naomi Mitchison (Labour) 4,293 Professor Kerr, who has been an active executive member of the Glasgow Unionist Association for many years, is Regius Professor of Zoology at the University of Glasgow. Mrs Mitchison, the defeated Labour candidate, is the well-known novelist and sociologist.
