FATALLY WOUNDED.
Boy’s Body Found Beside Fence. Per Press Association. WAN'GANUI, This Day. The body of Max Ernest Carter, 18 years of age, a son of Mr E. W. E. Carter, stationmaster at Wanganui, was found beside a fence on a farm at Turakina last evening. A rifle was beside the body, leading to the assumption that the youth had been accidentally killed while getting through a fence. He had been to Turakina beach with his father but left in the afternoon to do some shooting. As he failed to return at dusk a search was commenced and the father found the body. A bullet had entered the boy’s head.
