Reports and Returns From Operations. ADDISON'S FLAT. (Special to the “ Star.”) DULLER, June 23. The manager of the Addison’s Flat Gold Mining Company reports that during the last fortnight, the prospecting out westward has been concentrated on and during this work three ounces of gold were recovered. Maori Qully. (Special to the "Star.”) (IREYMOUTH, This Day. The Maori Gully dredge has been working through ground containing very little wash, making a detour to avoid moving a tramway bridge dver the creek. It is expected that by the end of this week the dredge will be back in the creek, and much better wash should be obtained. BZahakipawa Goldfields, Ltd. Advice has been received from the mine manager of Mahakipawa Goldfields that the wash-up on Saturday, June 22, we s five ounces alluvial gold. Mosey Creek. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, June 23. The Mossy Creek dredge return was 460 a for 132 hours’ work, and 12,131 yards of material treated. Nevis Sluicing. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, This Day. Bendigo Goldlight report that there has been no wash-up owing to one or two stoppages. Hauraki Consolidated. The directors of Hauraki Mines Consolidated have issued a report of the year ended November 30, which states that the option over the company’s property, which expired on February 1, was not exercised by the option holder. Under these circumstances the board is now proposing to offer 200,000 8 per cent cum-preference shares of Is each tD shareholders to provide funds for testing the property as a low-grade proposition and the development of the Venus reef. The balance-sheet shows paid capital £84,884 and sundry creditors £525. Operations at Waihi. The following information has been cabled from Waihi to London—For the period ended June S, comprising twentyone days, 16,777 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 4124 fine ounces ol gold and 26,023 fine ounces of silver. This includes 1587 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 411 fine ounces of gold and 1350 fine ounces of silver. No. 2 Level.—Lode situated at 10ft in Hooper crosscut: This has been driven on to the west a further 44ft. The average assay value is 32s per ton, and the average width of the lode 2£ft. No. 7 Level.—-North branch of Martha lode, driving west: In the next 53ft assay value is erratic, the width of the vein being about 9in. No. 3 Level.—Edward lode, driving south: The next 28ft assays 3s 6d per ton. Ulster lode: For the first 51ft of driving west the assay value is 20s 9d per ton, the width of the lode being about 3ft. Mount Xsa Shares. A substantial improvement in the market price of shares of Mount Isa Mines, Ltd. has taken place recently, states a Melbourne journal. The position of the company has been strengthened by the rise in the price of silver, lead, and zinc, which caused the shares of Broken Hill mining companies to rise in recent weeks. Another factor In the case of Mount Isa Mines is the approaching production of zinc concentrates. The installation of new plant, including a zinc flotation unit, is expected to be completed shortly, and within two months the company should be producing zinc concentrates. It is expected that* the company will produce annually about 90,000 tons of zinc concentrates, whifch will be shipped abroad for treatment. New Zealand Miners for Fiji. The various areas held by Gold Mines of Fiji, N.L., and Fiji Gold N.L., are being manned by miners from New Zealand, as the Fijian Government prefers them owing to their special knowledge of the class of mining there. Talisman Dubbo. Last week Talisman Dubbo treated 4 7 tons at the Golden Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of £313. Rawang Tin. Rawang Tin return for May—Hours (dredge and sluicing plant), 1271; yards, 358,000; tin oxide, 73.21 tons. Previous. April.—Hours, 1048; yards, 320,000; tin oxide, 69 tons.
