Mayor’s Twenty-fifth Year of Office. (Special to the “ Star.”) HOKITIKA, May 9. The Mayor (Mr G. A. Perry) was returned unopposed. This is his twentyfifth year of office. The Borough Council election resulted: H. L. Michel 786, *A. R. Elcock 690, H T Parrv 623, *A. J. Thompson 623, *G. Heinz 594, E. L. Park 581, *T. W. Duff 581, *J. King 561. *E. Teichelmann 551 (elected): E. W. Heenan 521, W. J. Richards 481 and *J. A. Cuttance 467. _ _ _ Hospital Board—ll. T. Parry 636. T. W. Duff 628, "The Rev H. J. Knights 621 (elected) : J. L. Turner 539. Harbour Board —11. L. Michel 6*7, .TJ. M’ln tosh, sen. 610. F. Ross 454 (elected) : *A. J. Cuttance 416 and H. Harvey 368. In the half-holiday poll, Wednesday was retained by 588 votes to Saturday’s 357. Westland County. The Westland County elections resulted:— Northern Riding (two seats! — J■ A. Murdoch 132, *B. Davis 112. POLLING AT WESTPORT. Mr J. Kilkenny Returned as Mayor. (Special to the ** Star.”) WESTPORT. May 9. Great interest was taken in the municipal elections, polling for which took place vesterday in ideal weather. Mr J. Kilkenny was returned for the Mayoralty. The final results of the Borough Council election resulted in the return of Messrs O. Nahr, Robertson, Bird, Fox, O’Dea, Radford, Stowell, Taylor and Thomas. For the Hospital Board, Mrs Bird, the Hon W. H. Mclntyre, Messrs Fox, 11. Nahr, Hawes, Niven, Finlayson and Griffiths jvere elected. The Buffer County Council include Messrs Simpson, Jordan, Kerr, Hawes, Mclntyre and Phillips.
For the Mayoralty Mr Kilkenny received 1067 votes and Mr Robertson 655.
