TO MEET BAER.
Winner of Schmeling and Hamas Boxing Bout. FORMER CHAMPION'S RETURN. Max Schmeling, who beat Steven Hamas on a technical knockout, will meet Max Baer early in the summer. The Hamburg correspondent of the “ Daily Mail ” says that Schmeling has never before been so overpowering. His victory sent the spectators into transports of delight. Hamas was so savagely punished that even Storm Troopers shouted to the referee to intervene in the seventh round, and it is inexplicable why he did not. Hamas’s manager revealed that an osteopath sat in the American’s corner throughout the fight treating an elbow which he had injured during training. CHRISTCHURCH CLUB.
