“ There is no doubt that to-day Europe is much like a volcano, said Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Godfrey Dal-rymple-White. who arrived in Christchurch yesterday in the course of a tour of New Zealand. “ A tremendous danger exists in Russia, apart altogether from the political beliefs of the people. She has the greatest air force and the greatest army. They wish also to spread their mad creed and I think the greatest menace from the military point of view will be Russia. There is a huge population trained to arms, even many of the women.”
