A Question of Taste.
Dear Sir,—Mav I say that T consider “En-Zedder’s” letter of February 11 a masterpiece of crass ignorance, mixed with vainglorious trumpeting. He objects to “ English loons ” coming out to teach the “En-Zedders ” morals. Well, the average New Zealander is so sadly lacking in morals that somebody should teach them some—so why. not the English? “En-Zedder” also mentions that Cardiff, in Wales, is a city of mixed races. What that has to do with Englishmen. I fail to see, but I can congratulate “ EnZedder ” on his knowledge of geography, which is the only correct thing about his letter. By correct, I mean in good taste. As to why the Scottish and Irish are welcomed everywhere, while Englishmen are detested, I can only suggest that “ EnZedder,” in his dealings with English people, suffered with a marked sense of in feriority, perhaps with good In conclusion, I suggest that “ En-Zedder.” as “ a man of two wars.” should be old enough, if not wise enough, to refrain from cluttering up the newspapers with hi 3 senseless vituperations. Perhaps if he read more and talked less?—l am. etc.. ENGLISHMAN AND PROUD OF IT
