Trams and Traffic.

Dear Sir,—One of the worst features of the tramway service in Christchurch is not the Y loops and so on, but the many places where the cars run on the wrong side of the road. This ‘is a perpetual source of danger. Our tramways, I think, are very efficiently run in the face of difficult problems; but I am sure it is mistaken policy to cause ill-feeling by interfering with other road-users or to block up corners by shunting operations. In every motorist's family there are tram users, so consideration by the board for others must pay in the long run. Transport firms running buses would not be permitted any latitude.—l am, etc., FAIR PLAY.
