MYSTERY EXCURSION.
“Gaieties” Company’s Trip for Cyclists.
Nearly 200 cyclists took part in Stanley M’Kay’s “Gaieties" mystery excursion yesterday to Coutts Island. The long procession moved 1 off from Victoria Square, heatfed by the “Gaieties” theatrical party. The day turned out gloriously fine. A full programme of amusements was carried out in the afternoon, the novelties including the " Gaieties 1035" treasure competition, in which the competitors were given twelve questions to answer within an hour. The winners were:—Miss V. Gourley, 74 points, 1 : Mrs G. Hewinson, 72 points, 2; Mrs M’Donald, 66 points, 3. A competition for the best impersonation of Frank Perrin was won by Master Ray Sturrock, and for the best impersonation of Ike Delavale by Mr V. Loft. The prizes for the treasure competition and the impersonations will he presented at to-night’s performance. An hour's community singing, led by Ted Stanley and the Newtons, was greatly enjoyed. It concluded with a voctelling competition, judged by popular vote. Master Ewan Wilson and Miss M. Kissel were declared the winners. The sports results were:—Boys* races —Melville Sturr<x-k I.
