ANNUAL SPORTS.
St Joseph’s Home Boys’ Fixture. The annual sports of St Joseph's Home, Middleton, were held on Saturday in fine weather and a track that provided very good going. The meeting was organised by Mr T. E. Brosnahan and a small committee, while the Canterbury Amateur Athletic Association, represented by Messrs J. K. Moloney, W. C. Flewellyn, L. Hill and C. Hamilton, had charge of all arrangements on the ground. At the conclusion of the meeting Mr J. K. Moloney presented the prizes. Messrs W. C. Flewellyn, E. Daly and M. E. Lyons also commended the boys for their excellent efforts on the running track and for their conduct. The Rev Brother Damien, on behalf of the Sisters, paid a tribute to the practical sympathy shown by the Canterbury Athletic Centre and supporters in providing the hoys of St Joseph's with a sports meeting that would not be soon forgotten.
