SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.
Mr Palmer presided at the first bimonthly meeting this year of the Christchurch branch of the Presbyterian Sunday School Teachers’ Union, which was held at St Paul’s Schoolroom, Lichfield Street. The roll-call was read by the honorary secretary, Mr W. A. Moir. Greetings were read from Miss Kirkwood. The president introduced the Rev A. C. Watson, who gave an interesting address on “The Origin and Purpose of the Shorter Catechism.” A vote of thanks was passed to the speaker, and also to the Sunday School teachers of St Giles’s, Papanui, who served Supper.
