Unusual Acciident at Picnic at Coe’s Ford. An unusual accident befell Mr F. D. Carter, of Shand’s Track, Prebbleton, on Sunday. Mr Carter, who was attending a picnic at Coe's Ford, was attempting to remove the lid from a billy of boiling water when the lid was blown off and Mr Carter received nearly the whole of the conte its on his head and face. Ilis chest aMo was severely scalded. He was removed to his home, and received medical attention from j Dr F. Helmore, of Socliburn.
