Member Threatens to Resign. BOWLING DISPUTE. An allegation by one of the three members of the Match Committee of the Christchurch Bowling Centre that he was not consulted when decisions were made, and that one of the members had a prejudice against the Canterbury Club was made by Mr B. J. Finnegan at last night's meeting of the centre. As a sequel to this. Mr W. Efford verballv resigned from (lie Match Committee. After a long discussion in committee, it was stated that Mr Finnegan had withdrawn the allegation complained of, and that Mr Efford barf reconsidered his decision to resign. Mr Finnegan complained that he was not consulted by the other members of tiie Match Committee. Messrs J. A. Dickson and Efford had not consulted* him when fixtures were made. He de- | cJared that Mr Efford was prejudiced against the Canterbury Club, and would not have matches played there. Morrison (Papanui Club), mover of the original motion, said that bis intention was to protect the small clubs, which would he squeezed out if the big clubs ran too many tournaments.
