THEIR LAST VOYAGE.

Vessels Destined to Be Scrapped. (Special to the ** Star.”) AUCKLAND. January 10. Two vessels, the Komata and Kaimanawa, which are destined to be broken up in Japan for scrap iron, will leave Auckland to-morrow afternoon, the Komata towing; the other. Both vessels were sold a few months ago by the Union Company. The Komata had been laid up in Wellington and the Kaimanawa in Auckland for about three years. The captain of the Komata has decided that if typhoons or other severe weather is met with in the North Pacific, he will endeavour to leave the Kaimanawa at the Marshall Islands in a safe anchorage and proceed with the engined ship to Japan. When the stormy season is over he will return to the islands and resume the tow.
