Highly Complicated.
(Special to the “ Star.") WELLINGTON, This Day. Y, February 13, was originally indicated by the Government as the probable date for the resumption of the session to enable important legislation held over, notably that relating to the Mortgage Bond Corporation, to be considered. It is becoming clear that a later start will be made, possibly towards the end of February, owing to the large amount of interruption of Cabinet’s normal work which has been experienced since the adjournment of Parliament. The mortgage bond legislation, too. is highly complicated, and further time is needed for its completion. This scheme was elaborated by a committee comprising the Public Service Commissioner (Mr Versehaffelt), who was chairman. representatives of the Minister of Finance, the Treasury, the State lending departments, the Lands Department, which is concerned as mortgagee of discharged soldiers’ land, the Public Trust Office. Rural Intermediate Credit Board and Justice Department, which has administered the mortgagors’ relief legislation.
