RIFLE SHOOTING.

The Christchurch Defence Club held a practice shoot over 300, 500 and 600yds with seven shots at each range. Several good scores were registered. At 300yds O. W. Sandford scored 34, one off the possible, while at 500yds H. Harries and H. Mason registered similar scores. At 600yds R. Neill put on the possible and Sandford 34. The leading scoies weit. 300 50 0 60 0

Next Saturday the club will fire its third three-range competition of the championship series at Redcliffs. Arrangements are in hand ' for a match against H.M.A.S. Australia. If suitable the match will be fired at Redcliffs on January 12.
