Wairarapa Terrace, and Mr and Mrs Tyndall Harman, Tui Street, who have been on a short motor tour of Nelson and Westland, have returned to Christchurch. Miss Margaret Briscoe, Warwick Hospital, Ashburton, and Miss Edith Moore, Christchurch, left last night on an extended tour of the North Island and a cruise to the Marlborough Sounds. Miss Bertha Nurse, Papanui Road, who has been visiting her sister, Miss Frances Nurse, Auckland, has returned home. Miss Frances Nurse is now staying with Mrs F. E. Berndston, Wroxton Terrace. Mrs J. Hayman, Studholme Junction, who was the guest of Mr and Mrs lan Barclay, Oweka, Little River, has arrived in Christchurch to spend a week with her parents before returning home.

Misses Newman, Christchurch, are visiting their brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs J. P. Newman, Timaru. Mrs Maitland Rich, Warwick House, is spending a holiday with Mrs Geoffrey Rich, Cave. Miss Tean Knox Gilmer, Wellington, is staying with her cousin, Mrs Douglas Macfarlane, Rafa Downs. Dr and Mrs D. E. Currie and family have returned from a holiday spent at Pigeon Bay and at Okain’s Bay. Miss Rita Junker left yesterday to join the Marama at Wellington for a visit to Sydney and Melbourne. The Hon Mr Justice Ostler and Mrs Ostler, Wellington, will leave Lyttelton this week on a trip to England. Mrs A. A. Hutchinson and children, Ikoraki, Banks Peninsula, are the guests of Mrs Edmund Harper, Whitecliffs. Brigadier-General and Mrs Bertham, England, will arrive in Christchurch on Sunday and will stay at Warwick House. Miss Norah Hoare has arrived in Christphurch from Wanganui on a visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs Denys Hoare, Kilmore Street West. Mr and Mrs P. 11. Webb, Papanui, will return to-day frcm a visit to Mr Webbs sister, Mrs F. G. M. Raymond, Beverley Road, Timaru. Mr and Mrs Cooper and Miss Shirley Cooper, Dunedin, who were guests at Clandon House, Grey Road, Timaru, have arrived in Christchurch. Miss Clare Junker, who is staying in Christchurch, will leave on Saturday for her home in Invercargill. Later will visit Miss Edna Re veil, St Clair, Dunedin. Mr and Mrs Moore Renton, Heaton Street, returned to Christchurch yesterday from Napier, where they were staying with Mrs Renton's parents, Mr and Mrs Hector Smith. Mrs R. L. Fisher, Chapter Street, St Albans, who was the guest of Mrs A. E. Kerr, Belmont, Cave, is now staying with Mrs H. H. Fisher, Shenley, Alburj'. Guests at Warwick House include: Mr and Mrs Rittson-Thomas and their daughter, Mrs S. Critchley (Marlborough), Mrs W. Willis, who recently returned to New Zealand from England, Mr and Mrs Henry Le Cren (Timaru), Mr and Mrs Dudley Edwards and Miss Hoby (Nelson). Mr and Mrs Wray Nolan, Gisborne, who have been spending the holidays at the Rakaia Fishing Huts, also returned to Warwick House to-day, and to-morrow Mrs G. H. Nolan and children will arrive to stay with them.
