Hopes to Return to City Shortly. The Town Clerk (Mr T. S. Neville) has received the following telegram from the Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan M.P.I : “ Please convey to the Deputy. Mayor, councillors, officers and citizens my sincere thanks and appreciation of the kindness of all those who have telegraphed their sympathy. The position is as previously stated—three broken ribs, painful and disabling, but no complications. I have returned to camp, which is isolated from mail and telephone. I hope to be able to travel to Christchurch shortly. Kind regards.”
