RAIL TRAFFIC.

Outward railway passenger traffic from Christchurch has eased up a little and inward traffic is gradually increasing. The express for the south this morning carried 460 people and the ordinary West Coast mail train was full. The special horse train which left at 10.5 p.m. for Greymouth was well patronised by attendants and trainers. The ferry steamer which arrived from Wellington this morning carried 700 passengers.
