More Use.
A Wanganui constable, saying a few words of farewell to Inspector Ward recently: “He is going to Auckland, where he will be of more use than he was in Wanganui.” Then, noticing the smile that lit up the face of the inspector and those of the other boys in blue, the constable qualified the remark by saying: “Well, that was not exactly the way I meant to put it.”
