Of Historic Interest.
During a discussion at a recent Waipukurau County Council meeting, on a letter received from the Lands and Survey Department seeking information of any historic trees in the district, Mr Monckton stated that there were at one time some willow trees at Mount Herbert which had been brought from Napoleon’s grave at St Helena by the late Mr de Pelichet.
